Why BUDPAC

BUDPAC is one of the largest, most successful MDF board-based packaging and MDF shelving suppliers in New Zealand. We boast a large and extremely diverse client base nationwide.

BUDPAC’s precision cutting line technology is world-class, digitally controlled and extremely accurate, whilst highly customisable. All of our products are export-grade and fully compliant with regulations.

Our History

Originally named Budget Packaging, BUDPAC SI Limited was established in 1988 in Kumeū, Auckland.

Budget Packaging identified an opportunity to provide manufacturers of board products with a means to dispose of downgrade products. BUDPAC achieved this by producing inexpensive MDF timber packaging components and MDF industrial-grade shelving.

In 2012 BUDPAC, sold its Kumeū based operation and became BUDPAC South Island Ltd. BUDPAC SI Limited has negotiated with New Zealand’s primary MDF manufacturers an ongoing line of supply.

Our national supply chain

Since 1988, we have held long-standing relationships with major New Zealand board producers Fletcher Wood Panels, Carter Holt Harvey Ltd, Daiken NZ Limited and Nelson Pine Ind.

Today, BUDPAC is based on site with Daiken NZ Ltd, New Zealand’s leading MDF board producer of their brand “CUSTOMWOOD”.This partnership  gives us direct access to long length MDF panels normally unobtainable in the market. 

BUDPAC also source MDF panels from Daiken Southland and Nelson Pine Ind. With this extensive supply chain, BUDPAC can guarantee supply of quality MDF board to suit a wide range of applications.
